Lincolnshire. Attended Skegness Grammar School.<\/p>\n<p>1964 -68&nbsp; Gloucestershire College of Art. Dip.Ad. (Ist class)<\/p>\n<p>1968-69&nbsp; &nbsp;Goldsmith\u2019s College of Art. ATC<\/p>\n<p>1969-72&nbsp; &nbsp;Royal College of Art. MA.RCA<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;1972-89 &nbsp; Painted murals and exhibited in Spain, Palma Mallorca.&nbsp; Started a company called Blind Alley, later known as Living Daylights manufacturing roller blinds. hand painted and printed. Supplying many British household names, including John Lewis, the Army and Navy Stores, Whiteleys and the American companies Macy\u2019s and Bloomingdales in New York. Her clients were interior designers in London and Los Angeles. She painted many murals, including The Pyford Court Triptych, each panel 5m x 8m on a classical theme. Some murals and interiors often incorporated blind designs for the windows, She painted a ceiling in a Majilis for Rashid bin Maktoum in&nbsp;Korfakkan and a swimming pool in Upper Brooke Street, London for The Sultan of Muscat and Oman.<\/p>\n<p>Gillian also worked in film, TV and theatre, creating backdrops and film&nbsp;and stage sets.She also worked extensively in photographic studios contributing to advertising projects, including &nbsp;Liberty\u2019s and for the photographers Peter Lavery, Ken Griffiths and Graham Ford.<\/p>\n<p>Gillian lived and worked painting murals in Los Angeles.
